Wednesday Night, Stacy and I welcome Townhall's Alicia Powe and the Blacksphere's Brooke McGowan on our show. Both ladies are talented behind the microphone in asking the questions that are needed and driving home the tough questions that nobody is asking. Most of you know know Alicia from the video that I tweet out almost daily "What has the Democrats done for the black Community." Brooke was at the last CPAC 2013 in Washington DC and had an assignment once again reaching out to the major speakers and having them sit down for a one on one interview.

Alicia attended John Jay College, during which time she worked in the War Room of the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee, served as a White House Intern during the George W. Bush administration and founded a Republican Club on campus.

Alicia graduated from JJC in May 2011 and since then has worked at the National Journalism Center, Human Events, Media Research Center  and now is at Townhall.com.

Once an activist for the left, Alicia saw the light converted to being an young activist for Conservatism.

Brooke McGowan is assisting Kevin Jackson with The Black Sphere, LLC’s National Black Ambassador Program. She has been selected for the role of Tea Party Outreach Director. Brooke is the current Carolinas Director for Center for Bio-Ethical Reform, a national pro-life group that educates others about the atrocity of abortion. 

Brooke recently graduated from New Life Theological Seminary with a degree in Urban Ministry and a concentration in Christian Counseling. She is also on the Broadcast Team with the TeaParty.net and was honored to give the last televised interview of Andrew Breitbart. 

Her work with pro-life ministry extends into the Southeast portion of the United States with some presence in Washington DC during the inauguration week and March For Life 2013. Brooke is married to Sean and they have two daughters. She lives in Charlotte, NC.

On Monday nights I am blessed to have as Co-hosts Benin Brown, Mark Turner and Christopher Harris. NOTE Mark Turner is on leave of absence but will return in a little while.

The Conservative Brotherhood is comprised of black conservative young men are are not afraid to join together to voice their opinion about today's news and events. All three individuals have been at one time on the liberal side and have found peace in leaving the "plantation" to be free and responsible for his actions.

Benin Brown is a family man whose background is in marketing.  He is Benin (@BeninB) is a Christian, a husband and a father of two girls. While his interests lie in US history and in speaking to issues that affect the nation at large. Although he once counted himself amongst the liberals, today Benin considers himself a dyed in the wool conservative.

 

Christopher Harris is 40 year olds, married, no kids (as of yet). Air Force Brat (you can say it just like that), third generation born in Detroit, but I was raised primarily in Germany. Christopher traveled to the Virginia area for an internship for my U.S. Representative, and then stuck around. Chris has worked on the Presidential Campaign of Mike Huckabee, and the Senate Campaign of Michael Steele.

Bishop EW Jackson – Ministers Taking A Stand/Running for Lt Governor of Virginia

E.W. Jackson was born in Chester, Pennsylvania in 1952. He joined the marine corps for three years before enrolling at the University of Massachusetts where he earned his bachelors degree. Jackson then went to Harvard Law School for his J.D. After law school Jackson stuck around Boston and practiced law for 15 years. He had a talk show and began his career as a visionary and philanthropist. In 1998 he became a bishop. Jackson moved to Virginia and is the leader of S.T.A.N.D. a program spreading philosophies of peace and religion. Jackson ran for Senate in 2012.

His first book, “Ten Commandments to an Extraordinary Life” was published in 2008. He has also published a second book, “America the Beautiful – Reflections of a Patriot Descended from Slaves”

Bishop E.W. Jackson was well known during the 2012 elections for putting out videos calling for Black liberals/democrats to leave the democratic party because it has stopped valuing their vote while changing so much on their platform that is doesn’t even cater to their beliefs. 

 Bishop Jackson is now running for Lt Governor in the state of Virginia and we have him on our show.

Ann McElhinney  – Director of film documentary Fracknation

Ann McElhinney is a journalist and documentary film director and producer. Her work examining the real life costs of environmental policies has outraged many in the environmentalist movement and she has received several death threats.

An inspiring and entertaining public speaker, she was voted the most popular speaker after Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter at CPAC. One blogger recently described her as "the Irish Sarah Palin" (it was not meant as a compliment.)

She is the director and producer of FrackNation (2013)—a documentary on hydraulic fracturing (fracking) and the natural gas boom in the US and abroad. FrackNation shows how unfounded opposition to fracking is damaging the lives of some of the poorest and hardest working people in America.

FrackNation premiered January 22, 2013 on Mark Cuban’s AXS TV. The New York Times called the film “meticulously researched…provocative.” And Variety said it was a “briskly paced…mischievous pic.” FrackNation bypassed traditional funding methods and instead turned to Kickstarter, a crowd-funding website. In 60 days, 3,305 backers donated $212,265 to tell the truth about fracking. It was one of the most successful campaigns in Kickstarter history.
