SCOTT MCKAY

Scott McKay Stirring up the Big Easy
Scott McKay’s career in publishing and media dates back to 1997, when he founded Purple & Gold Magazine – a publication covering LSU sports. His current media property, The Hayride, is a group blog covering Louisiana and national politics. The Hayride, founded in 2009, has grown to become Louisiana’s busiest conservative website; it has been selected as one of the nation’s best state political blogs by the Washington Post for each of the last two years.

Scott’s writings have also appeared in such national publications as RedState.com, the American Spectator, PJ Media and FamilySecurityMatters.org. You’ll most often find Scott discussing the relationship between culture and American politics, the state of conservatism and America’s domestic energy revolution.

You can catch Scott on twitter at @largeconf or his website > www.thehayride.com or www.atlargeconference.com

KCARL SMITH
Frederick Douglass Republican KCarl Smith
While taping the Glenn Beck special, I fortunate to be around black conservative men that were not afraid to speak about their experiences and who they were without reservations or apologies. KCarl Smith impressed me so much from the Glenn Beck taping I had to bring him on and explain the Frederick Douglass Republicans and how it might transform how you really think about the name “Republicans” and “Conservatism.”

KCarl Smith will be joining myself and CL Bryant in Baton Rouge on May 30-31 for an event that will help motivate and speak to black conservatives trying to get into politics!. Click here for more information

Here is a video that KCarl Smith put out last year and it’s a treat!
